“A goal without a timeline is just a dream.” Robert Herjavec
If you are anything like me, setting goals is a lifesaver. I always have a million things I want to accomplish, so I need something to help keep me focused and on track. With everything we juggle it is easy to forget some of the important things, we want to accomplish, because the ‘right now’ always becomes the focus.
Have you ever been putting laundry in the dryer, then remembered you had something in the oven you needed to check? And, then while checking the food you remembered you wanted to clean the bathroom and two hours later, you finally get back to loading the dryer? Yup, that has happened to me too.
When the year begins, we have the best intentions on accomplishing these wonderful dreams and then life happens month after month and before you know it…it is December 31st again and we are still dreaming about what we wanted to achieve.
Writing your dreams down makes it a goal and that empowers you to attach a plan to it. That only leaves one more step, which is to tackle… and take action to make it happen. Life happens to all of us but being intentional helps us to take life by the horns and steer it in the direction we choose.
