Colleen’s passion lies in empowering others and transforming lives through education.

Colleen Reedy is currently the Director of Student Engagement at SUNY Empire State College. In this role, she oversees Student Life, Student Government, Career Services, and Residencies college wide. Previously Colleen was the Associate Director of Opportunity Programs and Associate Director of Recruitment and Residency programs. She also served as Dean of Students at Erie Community College and Director of Business Development/Community Relations at Bryant & Stratton College.

Colleen holds a B.S. degree in Management from Houghton College and an M.S. in Adult Education from SUNY Buffalo State College. Before moving into higher education, Colleen was the Vice President of Marketing for a local technology company and ran her training and consulting company for several years. She was also an adjunct instructor at local colleges teaching Public Speaking and Oral Communications courses. She is active on the boards of EPIC (Every Person Influences Children), United Way – Women United, Women’s Health Broadcast Network (WHBN), and Leadership Buffalo class of 2014.

Colleen is honored to work with adult students and witness their journey to achieve their highest potential. She firmly acknowledges that each person can have a positive impact on their community in a variety of ways.that as champions, we each can have a positive impact on our community in a variety of ways. We must decide how we want to help our communities and be empowered to tackle it.
